SKREENS PARK Activity Centre offers Schools a wide range of activities that will test and challenge pupils.

You can either choose activities that require our skilled team of activity instructors with national governing body qualifications or choose activities that you may supervise yourselves.

Indoor Accommodation

Camping

	Archery The park has a full 50 m wide target archery field with a 120m overshoot area where TD Recurve & composite trainer bows are available for both young and old. You get 4 bows per session getting you approximately 20 people through the activity per hour. Unfortunately compound Bows are not permitted at the park.
	Air Rifles Our rifle range offers the chance to aim ammunition at a series of targets in order to score the highest scores. You get 4 rifles per session getting you approximately 20 people through the activity per hour.

The following activities are also available to hire at the site with adult supervision.

	Pioneering Undertake the art of using ropes and wooden spars joined by lashings and knots to create amazing structures. Our range of equipment allows you to construct everything from the most simple to large-scale constructions.
	Pyrography Stretch your creativity by decorating wood by burning marks using a heated poker and a range of wooden designs can be achieved.
	Junior Crossbows Take aim with our smaller bows and score points. Junior Crossbows are ideal for the younger person. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use and capable of being used in a building, marquee or dining tent.
	Cork Guns Shoot across a range of 5 metres at pyramids of 9 cans. This activity is suitable for either indoors or outdoors. You get 4 cork guns per session getting you approximately 20 people through the activity per hour.
	Discovery Trail The Discovery Trail is an ideal activity to introduce the sites boundaries and facilities offered. Don’t forget your pen or pencil. This activity is available at no additional charge.
	Pedal Cars Using your leg power, race against others in a four wheeled human powered single seater sports car on our purpose built oval track. 5 carts per session enables approximately 20 people through the activity per hour. Carts are available for both large and small people. Suitable for inter group races or just for pedalling around.
	Caving (New for 2009) Our man made 250m long purpose built cave offers the challenge of exploring dark holes. With safety helmets, lamps and boiler suits you’ll get a caving experience with a difference. Our caves are constructed for beginners and those wishing to develop their skills using artificial conditions.
	Bouncy Castle Our site bouncy castle will provide inflatable fun that will keep your group entertained for hours.
	Bouldering Our indoor wall offers the challenge to traverse from left to right across a series of multi coloured foot and hand holds.
	Pond Dipping Our 3 acre lake is a haven for wildlife and our pond dipping equipment provides the ideal opportunity to search for water critters. You get 10 nets per session, which gets you approximately 30 people through the activity per hour.
	Orienteering Using a map and compass, navigate yourself from point to point across the site to find control points. This activity is available at no additional charge.
	Volleyball Test your team to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court. This activity is available at no additional charge.
	Badminton Grab a racquet and play against an opposing player to score points with your shuttlecock, get it over the net and land a score. This activity is available at no additional charge.
	Adventure Course Take a series of obstacles of balance beams, log walls and rope swings for the energetic to let of steam on.
	Lawn Games Try our range of outdoors games including large versions of Connect 4, Chess, Ludo, Chinese Chequers and Jenga, which you can play indoors and outdoors and in teams.
	Pre-planned Hikes Take a walk in local places of interest. Routes are between 2 and 25 miles and you need to supply your own OS map (Landranger 167), compass and suitable walking equipment.
	Fishing If you're staying at Skreens, fishing is permitting on our 3 acre lake. It has a large head of Carp, Tent, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Bream. Barbless hooks must be used, keepnets are not allowed and all fish must be returned. Under 16s must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Night fishing is not permitted and all persons aged 12yrs or over must be in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Licence.
	Slacking All you need are two sturdy points (e.g. trees) to attach our Slackline between, and the fun can begin! Whether you just practice your balance, or develop more adrenalin-raising tricks, the possibilities are limitless!
