About Us
Situated just outside Essex’s newest city, Chelmsford, Skreens Park Activity Centre is home to action packed activities and experiences. Across our 60 acre activity centre we provide young people the opportunity to challenge and empower themselves to try new things and experience outdoor adventure.
With our range of modern, fully equipped residential buildings and established camping areas, Skreens Park Activity Centre is well prepared to host and assist a wide range of customers, including Scouts, Guides, Schools, Youth Groups and corporate organisations.
Skreens Park Activity Centre offers a variety of staff led and self-led adventurous activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
Skreens Park Activity Centre is wholly owned and operated by Essex County Scout Council, a Scout County operating within The Scout Association of the United Kingdom, according to The Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules. Essex County Scout Council is a registered charity in England, number 302097.
The operation of Scouting in Essex is overseen by the County Commissioner and the Senior Management Team, the governance for the charity is overseen by a number of trustees as part of the County Executive.
